Annie League of Legends fan art -sketch-drawing-video-

Two posts in one day since I’ve been bad with updates this last week…This time it’s drawing related, yay!(?)

Some League of Legends fan art, because this game is awesome and needs more love. But as usual, I must admit I like the drawing style a billion times more then I like the game. So I had some fun with this on, I decided to draw Annie in *my* style, and put a little teenage twist on her classic skin. I got mixed reactions from the community, but most people seemed to like it.

It all started with this sketch I did up, I liked it enough to trace it onto nicer paper and color it.

After the coloring~

And I even have a video of me drawing it! c:

So that’s it, but it’s something, right?! And something is better then nothing..right?

The making of Sheryl Nome Black OP outfit (Part 2)

Well, I missed a day of sewing updates (big shock.) The reasoning is because my progress was (is?) really, really lame. But i’m back today, and I started a new costume!

Make sure to check out The making of Sheryl Nome Black OP part 1 for my reference picture and previous progress. Anyway, the day started out with a trip to Joanns, I didn’t need anything, but I did want a few more yards of tulle and some more elastic waistband. The supplies I needed to finish Sheryl’s super poofy petticoat.

So then I was left with the task of gathering 8 yards of tulle, fun-fun! Actually, not so much. I hate hand gathering fabric with passion. But for this costume, it’s a requirement. I cut my piece of tulle into 4 18″ stripes, then slapped 2 sheets together and began the gathering process.

After two hours or so I had the  tulle gathered, then I just had to sew it onto the skirt, and I was done! The picture on the left has the skirt pieces draped over it, though it’s still far from finished, and on the right is the actual petticoat. It’s an ugly bugger but it does what it’s meant to do, so I can’t complain. It’s almost too poofy for my tastes, actually, but once the skirt has all the ruffles on it, it’ll be heavier and weigh the peti down some.

Then came the ruffles…good lord these things take way longer then I expected. It takes me over an hour to do 12″. I need well over 200″ for this skirt. >.< Yesterday I managed to get 30″ done, then today I got another 15″ or so, I should be able to do another 15″ later tonight…but it’s going to take me a long time to get all these ruffles done. Bleh.

Tomorrow I’ll line the skirt with white, then add the length of ruffles i’m (almost!) done with. But yeah, progress on this one will be slow considering how long these ruffles take me…

Anya Alstreim cosplay: Otakon: Photoshoot pictures

Disclaimer on what a bad Anya I am is here: http://doxiequeen1.deviantart.com/art/Anya-Cosplay-252900344

Costume details are here: http://www.cosplay.com/costume/380226/

Alright, Anya pictures! I love this costume, so much. I ended up having two photoshoots…but the one of them was really, really bad, I only got 1 photo out of it that I liked, everything else was just unflattering and just bad. Not surprising, considering it was like 15 minutes, heh.

However, I did have a shoot with

Panda Punch: http://www.facebook.com/pandapunchphoto?ref=ts

And the photos are gorgeous! I’m so glad to have some cute pictures of this costume. Keep in mind, all pictures were taken and processed by Panda Punch, I don’t own them, they’re just pictures OF me.

On a somewhat exciting note, this made daily cosplay over at animenewsnetwork, I’m not super familiar with the site, but it’s quite an honor and i’m very flattered!

This costume also made it into Acksonl’s fan video for Otakon, once again, super flattered! He recognized me from his NYAF video and asked to shoot with me…which was a neat experience (again.) fun times. Anyway, pictures!

The making of Sheryl Nome Black OP outfit (Part 1)

I’m not dead, honest! I’m sorry I was gone so long, though. But i’m back now! With a new sewing project.

Shery nome! Big shock, eh?

I already had the fabric, but i’m waiting for my corset top, base thing to arrive, so for now i’m working on the skirt, and what comes before the skirt? A petticoat. An evil petticoat, that required gathering 20 yards of fabric, by hand.

The first step was pretty basic: Make a really, really short circle skirt.

Then I made up 20 yards worth of ruffled red/wine colored tulle. Which I gathered by hand, my god, never again. (Which is a lie since i’ll probably do it again for Lichtenstein) It just took forever, and my hands are sore, so i’m bitter.

Then came the attaching tulle to the skirt,  which was fairly easy, the big problem was that the tulle got stuck on the foot and would rip it…that was kinda a mess, but I managed.

Then came ruffle #2, this is sorta lopsided..but I still have another ruffle to add, so i’m not all that worried.

And heres a picture of the two main skirt pieces pinned on, just your normal circle skirt. But I shall be adding ruffles, a waistband, and some other crap that it requires, ha.

And that’s it for today! Tomorrow I’ll make the white ruffles for the skirt, and stuff…I also added yet another cosplay to my list, Liechtenstein. So now my list looks like this:

1. Black/OP Sheryl Nome (progress above, have all the fabric, waiting on corset/laces)

2. Purple Stage Sheryl Nome (some patterns drafted, mostly waiting on petticoat, have all the fabric.)

3. Liechtenstein (No progress, no fabric)

Yup, yup! c: Well, I’m going to post pictures from a photoshoot I had at Otakon, and then I’m off.
